In 2017, one (1) AFGW Georgina Sweet Fellowship will be offered.
The AFGW Georgina Sweet Fellowship is offered every second year to women graduates who are Australian citizens or permanent residents and are enrolled for a PhD degree by research. Applicants must be women graduates who are Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia and are enrolled for a PhD degree by research in any Australian university. The funds are to be used for a specific project or purpose for PhD research in any field.
The AFGW Georgina Sweet Fellowship is offered for the second and subsequent years of a doctoral program. First year doctoral students do not qualify. The Fellowship is valued at $7,000 for 8 to 12 months of work. Within 6 months of concluding the work undertaken under the tenure of the fellowship, the recipient must submit a written report on the work accomplished. The financial assistance given by AFGW must be acknowledged in any published material embodying the results of the work carried out.
Applications close midnight AEST) Wednesday, 31 May 2017. Only online applications in the format requested will be accepted. Proposals for projects that will be completed before 1 October 2017 will not be accepted.
